  1. two questions....one i want to know the answer to the other is more rhetorical...
where did you draw this...or better said as what was your inspiration to draw this....(rhetorical)
what type of medium did you use....it looks like more than one...was it a marker or ink or something else....if i had to guess it looks like it is a felt paint marker.

  2. I like the idea of this piece! It reminds me alot of that book "Gulliver's Travels". I think that was it. The cartoons always portray that book as some huge guy getting tied down by tiny natives.

  3. HAHA my medium was pencil and paper...I took a picture of it instead of scanning it and the light I used created a spot light kind of effect. I wasnt crazy about it so I tried to tone the background down a bit by adding a layer in photoshop with a 20-30 or so opacity. The outcome was interesting so I kept it... a nice accident. The inspiration was from my artist statement that im still working on. Sombody told me that if I didnt have an artists statement that I should create one and that would help me connect even more with my work.

  5. You know what is a GREAT thing for tonal drawings in your sketchbook is WaterSolubleGraphite, If you remind me in class I'll show you how I use it, it's a lot easier to handle than ink in many cases.

  6. I really like this. It makes me think of a museum with the art on the wall, then you have the thinking guy sculpture(not sure what he is really called lol)being drug away by little people! It says to me that maybe you were trying to focus on art but some thing in your life keeps dragging you away:)Good stuff, makes me smile.
